Seasonal Opportunities
It's no surprise that we become even busier than usual at certain times of the year.
So our Seasonal and holiday colleagues play a really important role, especially
at Christmas, at Easter and in the Summer holidays.
With nearly 400 stores offering 10,000 Seasonal roles there are some fantastic
opportunities to join Asda as an hourly paid colleague.
Seasonal roles are available at peak holiday periods, so they're especially popular
with students during study breaks. Many go on to join us permanently to start their
career. It's also a great way to join our Retail Graduate Scheme - all of the graduates
who started the 2009 scheme had previously been with us as Seasonal colleagues.
It works like this. Seasonal colleagues sign up to a contract which offers 10 weeks
work in a year - 2 weeks at Easter, 4 weeks in Summer and another 4 weeks over Christmas.
Some people simply want to earn some much needed extra cash. Others use the experience
to get a taste of retail as a career. Either way, we'll expect everyone to give
it everything during these hectic weeks, and in return we promise they'll get a
lot from the experience. And we're not just talking about money.
